Earlier that same day, Cori shared devastating news of her own. Her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, passed away on Jan. 26—just 20 days after finally returning home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Codi had been born three months premature and spent much of her short life fighting bravely in intensive care.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life,” Cori wrote on her Instagram Story, alongside a tender photo of herself holding her baby. “My Codi.”
Codi’s father, Cori’s fiancé Wayne Deuce, also honored his daughter with an emotional tribute on social media. “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux,” he wrote. “But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”
Only weeks earlier, Cori had joyfully shared a video of Codi coming home from the hospital after her long NICU stay. “She’s home,” she wrote in a Jan. 6 post. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
Cori first announced Codi’s birth last February, revealing she went into labor at just 25 weeks. At the time, she openly shared her fears and emotions. “The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote. “I’ve cried and cried… blaming myself. But no matter what, God always shows me that He got me.”
She added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Over the following months, Cori regularly updated her followers on Codi’s journey, including a deeply personal post during NICU Awareness Month in September. “Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story,” she wrote. “I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day.”
Cori is the youngest child of Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus. While Snoop has not released a formal statement in words, his heartfelt post made one thing clear: his love and support for his daughter remain unwavering during this time of profound grief.
