CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. — With the birthdays of Matthew Cooper and Jag Da Apostle approaching, The Council 2432 had even more to celebrate this week after continuing to expand its presence beyond Ohio with a live appearance at “Crime & Octane: Summer’s Last Burn,” held August 27–30 at Burnt Rock Motorsports Farm in Cape Vincent, New York.
Blending hip-hop with the high-powered culture of motorsports, the multi-day event brought together live music, off-road vehicles and outdoor entertainment. The Council 2432 joined a diverse lineup headlined by established hip-hop performers Project Pat, Rittz and Blind Fury, along with Anthony BeastMode, Lil Wyte, Keith Cash and Who TF Is Justin Time?
For The Council 2432, the appearance represented another important step in the collective’s continued growth as a live act. Known for its unified presence, hard-hitting records and connection to Ohio’s independent music scene, the group brought its distinctive Midwest energy to an audience extending well beyond its home region.
The performance also placed The Council 2432 on a platform shared by nationally recognized artists and an extensive roster of independent talent, including Rich Regal, Marquiese McClendon, Tyler Truth, Marcotic, Big Murph, DDD Squad Family, Siamese Goat God, Hollywood, Arya Ash, Sarah Buck, Jay B Real, Mikey Phine, BNB, PB Mogul, Corner Lyfe, Elevon and Hundo.
Additional special appearances were advertised from Thug Nasty, Off-Road and Wu-Tang affiliate Killa Beez artist Spunky Boi.
Hosted by Michael Booth and Larry Dale Reed and powered by Frost Kingz, “Crime & Octane: Summer’s Last Burn” created a crossover experience that connected hip-hop performance with off-road and motorsports culture.
The Council 2432’s participation adds to a growing list of national performances and public appearances as the collective builds its audience and strengthens its position within the independent hip-hop community. With each new stage, the group continues carrying the sound, identity and work ethic of Ohio hip-hop into new markets.
The Council 2432 is currently in the lab collaborating on a new single with a Grammy Award-winning team. The collective remains focused on releasing new music, delivering commanding live performances and creating opportunities that move both the group—and its region—forward.
