At the latest edition of Pitti Uomo, Japanese designer Shinyakozuka transformed the Florentine runway into an evocative winter landscape, where fashion met quiet storytelling. At Pitti, Shinyakozuka narrates the story of a lost glove, using atmosphere, texture, and symbolism to create an emotional experience rather than a conventional runway show.
Models moved across a floor dusted with artificial snow, evoking the stillness and subtle disorder of a winter storm. The collection reflected this mood through thoughtful detailing: snowfall appeared in delicate prints, layered patterns, and scattered button appliqués that resembled snowflakes settling on fabric. Denim pieces were marked with white “shoe print” motifs, suggesting garments that had already journeyed through icy streets and freshly fallen snow.
The colour palette remained restrained and wintry, anchored in black, blue, and grey, with crisp white accents enhancing the sense of cold and clarity. This minimal spectrum allowed texture and narrative to take center stage, reinforcing the poetic calm of the presentation.

Gloves became a defining element of the collection, appearing repeatedly throughout the Japanese outerwear-inspired looks. Oversized, fur-trimmed gloves functioned as protective winter essentials, while lighter versions were used as subtle styling details. The story reached its quiet conclusion when a single glove was left behind on the runway—dropped, forgotten, and ignored as models continued walking past it. In that moment, At Pitti, Shinyakozuka narrates the story of a lost glove, turning a simple accessory into a symbol of absence, memory, and fleeting human connection.
